Delta Company

From vehicles to tanks, pistols to cannons, generators to fire extinguishers, if it’s in the Army inventory, we can fix it. That is the mission of Delta Company, 704th Main Support Battalion. As a heavy maintenance company we are the maintenance managers and repairers of the battalion. If equipment breaks, we identify the problem, order the necessary parts, and our expert mechanics and welders make the repairs. The company has two additional missions not normally found in other units. The first is operating the division’s paint booth. There are over 5,000 vehicles in a modern division, and the company’s paint booth makes sure each one is properly painted. The company is also responsible for repairing the Army’s main battle tank engine. Modern U.S. tanks use the same kind of engines that are found in jet airplanes. The company’s engine repair section has the know-how to take these engines apart and repair them, saving the 4th Infantry Division millions of dollars over replacement items. We take pride in our special capabilities and the quality of our work.
